Application:Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) reduces the surface tension of water, rapidly producing rich, fine foam during brushing. On one hand, it enhances mechanical cleaning efficiency: the foam can wrap around food residues, soft deposits, and plaque on tooth surfaces, between teeth, and in gingival sulci, reducing friction between the toothbrush and teeth to assist physical cleaning. On the other hand, the fluidity of the foam drives the uniform coverage of active toothpaste ingredients (such as fluoride and antibacterial agents) on the oral mucosa, increasing the contact area of functional components.

Product introduction:

Foaming & Cleaning (Core):SLS reduces water surface tension, creating rich, fine foam while brushing. It boosts cleaning efficiency: foam wraps residues/plaque, reduces friction for physical cleaning, and helps active ingredients (e.g., fluoride) cover oral mucosa evenly.

Emulsification & Dispersion:SLS acts as an emulsifier, dispersing oily ingredients (e.g., fragrances) into tiny particles in water-based toothpaste. Prevents stratification/caking, ensuring smooth, easy-to-use texture.

Solubilization & Flavor:SLS dissolves poorly soluble ingredients (e.g., fragrances). Delivers long-lasting aroma, fresh mouthfeel (e.g., mint coolness), and reduces stickiness for better comfort.

Auxiliary Antibacterial (Indirect):SLS removes bacteria’s food sources via cleaning/foaming. Synergizes with antibacterial ingredients (e.g., chlorhexidine) to enhance bacteriostatic effects.
